From the Cale Green Primary School
At the end of the summer term members of the school council, governors and staff met together to design a series of statements which articulate our shared vision, values and beliefs. The idea that the school should enhance all students' expectations and guarantee that they are literate, numerate, and articulate emerged often. In addition our school should be a place where children are listened to, are treated fairly and with respect and where there are opportunities for new experiences in a supportive and organised environment. Every student at the school is regarded as an individual with something special and uplifting to contribute. Our goal is to help every child reach their full potential in a disciplined, nurturing, and exciting atmosphere in order to give the Cale Green children the greatest education possible. Each child will reach their full potential in a structured, loving atmosphere where they have access to a rich curriculum and a variety of engaging extracurricular activities. Each youngster will embrace a "can do" culture and attack new tasks with self-assurance, aptitude, and tenacity. Children who are creative and critical thinkers and who develop self-confidence, understanding, and tolerance as a group are produced as independent and collaborative learners. All of the Cale Green youngsters will receive the best education possible, preparing them for life in contemporary British society. At the start of every academic year, each class also develops its own vision statement, which is shared with the entire school and posted in the classroom.
