Thank you for visiting the webpage for our school. I'm hoping the material on this website may be helpful to you. Church of England students attend Calder Vale C of E Primary. We gain from being located in the Forest of Bowland, a region of exceptional natural beauty. We are able to utilise this for our curriculum with a fabulous outdoor woodland area for play and learning, a very large field for sports, an organic garden and our own chickens. The majority of kids come from the village, the nearby farms and hamlets, and increasingly from areas outside the immediate catchment and the Catterall region. We enjoy a close relationship with the local community and our church of St John's, as well as the Methodist chapel and the Catholic community within the village. Our kids are motivated, compassionate, and sociable, which represents our core Christian principles. They are keen learners who enjoy school. The school has high expectations, and we strive to create a place where everyone is happy to support, feels respected, and can achieve their full potential. With a free breakfast club commencing at 7.45 am, we are able to provide a broad-ranging, exciting curriculum. High academic standards are emphasised in our curriculum, along with the growth of resilient, compassionate, and content kids who are capable of facing the outside world. Please get in touch with me via one of the provided contacts if you are considering coming to visit us; I would be happy to show you around. To all of our current parents, we really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at our next events.
