From the Bruton Primary School
Welcome to Bruton Primary School, where our goal is to raise achievement through collaborative effort.
Our school is located in Bruton, a little historic town in South Somerset's Brue Valley.
Our school strives to be one that is nurturing and safe for our students as well as challenging and intriguing for our teachers and governors.
Our updated curriculum incorporates the requirements of the Curriculum 2014, which are improved and tailored to our students' needs through a variety of Quests. We think that every child has the capacity to develop into a self-assured, independent learner.
The growth of personal, learning, and thinking skills (PLTs), which are skills thought to better prepare our children for the world into which we send them, supports this inquiry-based learning.
In addition to a keyhole garden constructed by our students and visitors from the Zambian link school, an eco-friendly greenhouse made of plastic bottles, an iron age round house, and an outdoor classroom, we have a variety of beds for growing plants and vegetables at the front of the school and behind our key stage 1 classrooms.
At Bruton Primary School, we are really fortunate to have our very own swimming pool, which we take full advantage of during the summer term.
Working together, we can increase attainment at Bruton Primary School.
We want our kids to become confident, successful learners who will go on to contribute to society in the future.
We link as much as we can with the local community and involve our parents in their children's learning by asking them into school to celebrate, share, and explore together. Our Quests inspire them to focus on local, national, and global inquiry.
Bruton Primary School is a joyful, energetic institution with joyful, energetic students and staff. Being the Head of School here makes me extremely proud, and I would be honoured to show you around and tell you what makes us special.
