Following the appointment of our new headteacher and an early Ofsted inspection, our new vision statement was revised during the spring 2015 semester.
As a community, we believe that our statement accurately captures our general goals, ethos, and values. We intend to use it to map our journey over the coming years and to spur on additional advancements and advances.
By having the highest standards for all of our students and getting to know them well, Brockley takes pride in creating great teaching and learning environments.
Within a broad, lively, and enriched curriculum, we challenge all students to pursue academic, creative, sporting, and personal success.
We teach kids to take ownership of and responsibility for their education so they may be curious and self-assured when they ask questions, work through challenges, and respond to constructive criticism.
We encourage a culture of respect and empathy, where diversity is appreciated and celebrated both within the school and in the larger community, in order to build an inclusive school where everyone can succeed, regardless of their background.
Children are taught the importance of safety and welfare as well as the virtues of kindness, appreciation, and what it is to be brave.
Brockley places a high premium on high-quality instruction, and the atmosphere between teachers and students is what makes for motivational, encouraging, and successful instruction.
Our goal is for every child to graduate from Brockley as an autonomous learner who believes in themselves and has a deep respect for others.
We hope to instil a passion for learning that lasts a lifetime and a solid foundation for future success.
