From the Blackrod Primary School
We are a very successful, well-liked school in Bolton's north-west. Our school received a "excellent" rating from Ofsted during their most recent inspection. Our School featured in the very well received Channel 4 documentary 'The Class of Mum and Dad' which followed a group of our parents who returned to School for a half term to experience at first hand the education their children receive. We think that a love of life and education within a school where students feel cared for, supported, respected, and safe is the secret to our success. We constantly aim for academic achievement and provide all of our students a stimulating and enriching education. We encourage each child to reach their full potential and value each person's individuality, gifts, and talents. Every child is priceless, and it is an honour to contribute to their growth. We want to provide them the abilities, information, fortitude, excitement, and life skills that will enable them to live a fulfilling and contented life. Our staff are high performing professionals who go above and beyond expectations to make a difference to pupils' lives. A National Support School, Blackrod offers expert advice to schools in the Greater Manchester area. We pride ourselves on our educational links and we are strategic partners with a range of schools which helps ensure that our own practice remains outstanding and continually challenges our thinking and practice. We hope that by viewing this website, you will get a sense of what our school is all about.
