As a school community, we take great satisfaction in the fact that all of our students are content and have a great time learning with us. As an outstanding school we realise that achievement comes in many different forms and we are committed to ensuring that your child has every opportunity to flourish, grow in confidence and make the most of their individual gifts and talents. Our success as a learning community is largely dependent on the cooperation and interactions between the students, parents, and school. Since communication is essential to these connections, my colleagues and I will always be accessible to talk about your child's academic and personal growth. As part of this commitment I personally make it a priority to send a newsletter to parents each and every week; and our school Twitter feed and website can also help keep you up-to-date with all the latest news from the school. Archbishop Holgate's is a flourishing school with outstanding examination results, high quality teaching and learning, an inspiring curriculum (complemented by sporting and musical achievements) and a wide, varied programme of extra-curricular opportunities. We seek to nurture aspiration and promote excellence in all our students with whole-school celebrations that embrace the entire school community, such as our Young Leaders Award, end of term assemblies, musical productions and our Christmas Service in York Minster. We know that your son or daughter's education is precious and as teachers we are privileged to play a part in helping shape so many exciting futures.
