A comprehensive and balanced curriculum will be provided to ALL Birmingham schoolchildren, allowing them to develop and study without fear of discrimination or injustice.
Encourage children's participation in learning by using inquiry-led strategies that help them acquire knowledge and attitudes toward learning.
In accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, cherish, celebrate, and strengthen children's religious and cultural heritage as they establish a sense of identity (UNCRC).
Educate kids about various religions and none at all, and encourage them to take part in religious celebrations to learn about and appreciate diversity.
Ensure that people are aware of the Equality Act's protected qualities and how diversity can be used to promote them.
Children should be taught to take charge, accept responsibility for their actions, exhibit initiative, and have compassion for others in order to improve their own lives as well as the lives of those who live and work in their local, national, and international communities.
All kids and teenagers will have the chance to participate in excellent personal, social, and health education at school, including lessons on sex and relationships, to discover the advantages of leading physically and emotionally healthy lives.
According to Article 29 of the UNCRC, education must fully develop each child's individuality, talents, and skills.
It must instil in the child a respect for human rights, their parents, their own culture, other cultures, and the natural world.
Any attempts to limit the curriculum or to deny our children and young people their right to an education will not be tolerated.
