The goal of Accrington Academy is to help each and every student realise their full potential.
I want all staff members at Accrington Academy to treat our pupils as if they were our own children because, as the headteacher, I firmly believe that "Children's learning is not a rehearsal." As a result, I set high expectations for them.
Our goal is to provide children with a top-notch education, exceptional exam results, and fantastic extracurricular programmes that help school come alive for them.
Ofsted praised the "warmth and liveliness" at Accrington Academy and said that we are producing pupils that are "aspirational, confident, and outward oriented."
This, together with our emphasis on academic success, has helped to establish us as a preferred school in our neighbourhood.
We have access to top-notch educational resources and the know-how to offer great opportunities for students and staff since we are a member of the United Learning family of schools and academies.

Accrington Academy is a great place. I believe that Ofsted rating Accrington Academy as ‘required improvement’ is not a true reflection on the Academy itself. It has great resources and provides support to every student. Heads of Years constantly check up on students to make sure they are alright. The teachers are so nice here and they are actually really good at teaching in my opinion. I have got some really good exam results and...
I think this school has come a long way. The students have a really good range of skills and some get outstanding exam results. The school has a variety of extracurricular activities and the staff take things seriously and professionally. I’m really happy to see this school thrive.
ive been getting bullied since i started in yr7 and nothing has been done even though ive been reporting it for 3 yrs straight now. and im constantly in arc for fighting my own corner when the teachers wont
Got bullied in yr7 nothing done then assaulted by a teacher in yr10 no investigation and that teacher still works there to this day
