Our motto is 'Try Hard, Be Kind, Be You'. Our motto encapsulates are core values of effort, kindness and character and we place emphasis on these three core values in equal measure. The Prep’s curriculum provides a broad and balanced education that gives our pupils in-depth knowledge of key concepts in a broad range of subject areas.

Subjects follow well researched schemes of work which are knowledge rich. Our focus on world class learning begins in our EYFS classes as a good early education is the foundation for future success. Our children are nurtured, allowing them to play, explore and discover themselves and the world around them through a rich curriculum that focuses on setting the firm foundations of learning.

As well as academic excellence, our curriculum goes way beyond a subject specific offer. We deliver enrichment activities that embed strong cultural capital to ensure our pupils are ready for the next stage in their education; academically, socially and emotionally. We pepper our academic calendar with various trips, experiences and visitors to the school that bring learning to life. Our school is rich with resources, which include a purpose-built science laboratory and a STEM workshop.

As important as excellent academic progress is to us, just as important is learning to be a kind, thoughtful and helpful person. We ensure that the relationships between staff and pupils, as well as between the pupils themselves, is of the highest standard and we give opportunity for our pupils to lead and to serve others.

We place a huge emphasis on personal responsibility and ensure our pupils have a voice in the life of their school. This includes a very active school council with many support roles such as first aiders, lunch time monitors and eco ambassadors. We also offer an extensive extra-curricular provision with a wide range of opportunities which include LAMDA, forest schools, cricket etc. These clubs allow our children to explore and build upon their talents and interest whilst expanding their horizons beyond their classroom.
