To Terrington Hall School, welcome.
Located in the beautiful Howardian Hills, just north of York, we are an independent coeducational Prep School.
Terrington Hall, a primarily day school with flexible and weekly residential options, offers excellent all-around education to boys and girls ages 3 to 13.
We combine cutting-edge education with a traditional prep school attitude.
Terrington Hall offers a caring yet focused environment where kids can cultivate a lifetime love of learning that they carry with them both during and after school.
Everyone has access to opportunities in sport, music, art, and drama both inside and outside of the curriculum, in addition to a robust programme of enrichment and after-school activities.
Children can challenge themselves without fear of failure and progress at their own speed by growing up in a secure and loving environment until the age of thirteen, with Year 8 serving as their role models.
Unattached to any senior school, Terrington Hall's strength is the range and calibre of local, national, day, and boarding institutions to which we send our students.
We select each senior school with the consent of the parents and in the child's best interests, and we prepare students for admission through scholarships and Common Entrance exams.
Nine of our 19 graduates, who received scholarships and awards for their academic, musical, artistic, athletic, and all-around achievements last summer, transferred to 11 other schools.
