These standards demonstrate our demanding standards as a school, which are typically higher than ARE nationwide.
The safety and welfare of our students are of the utmost importance to us at St. Andrew's CE VA Primary School. We are committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of children and count on all staff members and volunteers to share this dedication.
We think that students should be protected from all forms of abuse and that they should be able to learn in a supportive, caring, and secure environment. Staff members should be alert for any signs of student distress and confident in their ability to use our safeguarding procedures to prevent and resolve any issues of this nature.
All schools, however, have a clear obligation to make sure they collaborate with other organisations to protect and advance the welfare of all children.
As a result, in accordance with Government and Kingston upon Hull City Council policy, if concerns are raised within the School or a child or parent reports a situation involving potential abuse, we are required to refer such situations to the appropriate Children's Services.
We vigorously support the government's Prevent Agenda to fight extremism and radicalization.
