On October 1, 2017, Richmond Adult and Community College and Hillcroft College merged to form RHACC, one of nine institutes of adult learning (IAL) in the UK.
By 2021, RHACC will be the institution of choice for communities and adult learners in South West London.
providing adult learners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds with a path to employment, wellbeing, and empowerment through a curriculum with accessible starting points for all.
Our achievement rates are higher than the national average as a result, and in January 2020, Ofsted gave us a Grade 2 "Good" college rating.
RHACC was a finalist for the Tes FE Awards' adult community learning provider of the year award in 2021.
The Richmond Institute for Adult Education will henceforth be known as the Institute.
A forum for jobless people, link courses with schools, and a full-time drama school are all introduced.
The Portcullis Trust was established to assist in times of budget reductions for adult learning in order to create an independent entity with independent funds.
The Clifden Centre in Twickenham, formerly the Twickenham School for Girls, is acquired by the College and is now its administrative and second full-time day centre.
One of only 14 independent further education adult colleges in the nation, the college was founded as such.
