From the Prestwich Preparatory School
Prestwich Preparatory School is a logical extension of Estelle Friesner's 1968 creation of Manchester's first "teaching nursery."
The school's pedagogical philosophy encourages learning in five key skill areas: reading, numeracy, mental flexibility, physical fitness, and interpersonal communication.
To accomplish these goals and to give students the widest selection of secondary schools, we set attainable objectives for each student and regularly track their development through evaluations of their classwork and homework.
Our course of study is conventional.
Our year over year success in preparing kids for Grammar School exams is a solid indicator of how viable this strategy is.
We can effectively meet the particular requirements of both gifted and learning-disabled students thanks to our small group teaching facilities.
Regarding the latter, we have a track record of successfully integrating and instructing kids who have been given a special needs diagnosis.
In conclusion, Prestwich Preparatory School offers a structured yet welcoming environment where learning is not constrained by class size.
