Our little school, which is based in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent, provides assistance to children who have a variety of physical and mental health issues that make attending a regular school too challenging for them. The Stoke-on-Trent Local Authority maintains Merit, which meets the needs of pupils from the 17 Stoke secondary schools. Students are referred to the Learning Pathways Team at the Local Authority by their normal school. Our highly trained and experienced staff is committed to creating a welcoming, caring, and secure atmosphere for our students, giving them the tools they need to grow emotionally and socially, increase their resilience, and boost their self-esteem. Additionally, some of the students at Merit may have come from difficult circumstances. Because of this, we are dedicated to giving the young people in our care the chance to improve their lives and learn effective coping skills for the future. The robust Management Board that oversees us collaborates closely with parents and other specialised teams to achieve the greatest results for the young people we help. Offer a close-knit school culture and small class sizes so that every kid receives a lot of one-on-one support to address their individual needs and concerns. Our main goal is to help students transition back into the regular classroom, or to give them the confidence to move on to post-16 programmes and other forms of higher education, if that is not possible. We are eager to have you join Merit. Please call us at 01782 928980 or send an email to [email protected] to arrange a visit.
