Thank you for your interest in our school and welcome to our website.
We are a sizable special school with three locations in Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham.
All students who have been determined to be suitable for enrollment in the school will have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and their ages range from 2 to 19.
We are confident that all children and learners will advance if a supportive, safe, and responsive environment is provided. This will be done in the context of effective, high-quality teaching and therapeutic treatments.
We endeavour to live up to our school's mission, "Learning together to be the best that we can be," every day, along with the unspoken rule of "making every day count."
175 students with severe or profound learning disabilities between the ages of 2 and 16 attend the main school.
We opened our college in Paignton's Occombe neighbourhood in 2016 in response to the city's steadily growing population, and it currently has 40 students, ages 16 to 19, who have transferred from the main institution.
In September 2015, the school's third section, which is located in Brixham, began operations.
The Chestnut Center serves 30 students in first grade who have an EHCP that identifies their social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
