The Swale Business Awards are frequently cited as the most significant business occasion in the borough. Each year the diversity and excellence of local businesses from Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Faversham have made the awards both incredibly successful as well as an indication of which businesses are thriving in our region. Local businesses have the opportunity to increase their visibility within the local business community by entering the awards. Being selected as a finalist is a significant accomplishment that also boosts employee motivation and corporate morale. Since their inception in 2007, the awards have been given out annually. Some of our original sponsors are still with us, including Swale Borough Council, Kent Science Park, UHY Hacker Young, and the University of Greenwich. The awards have come a long way since our original awards held in a marquee at the Kent Science Park - we now host our Gala Dinner at the Kent Event Centre in Detling! We've also seen the awards themselves change due to the incredible diversity of businesses throughout the borough and we now not only announce a Swale Business of the Year; but also a Sheppey Business of the Year, a Sittingbourne Business of the Year, a Faversham Business of the Year and a Small Business of the Year. Additionally, prizes are given for employers of the year, customer service, and entrepreneurs. 2009 Experts in call management and customer service Go Response Ltd. The sponsors all have ties to the community and are well-versed in it. They include the four judges who are looking at financial performance, entrepreneurial spirit, environmental credentials, marketing skills, community links, staff welfare and a range of other attributes that when combined stand you out as the Swale Business of the Year!.
