Regardless of your motivation for visiting our website, I hope you get a feel of what makes us unique and are motivated to come see us in person to see our work firsthand.
In 1550, our school was established.
Known as the schola Buriensis (school of Bury) since that time, we currently house over 1600 pupils between the ages of 11 and 18.
We cherish our generally Christian culture and principles as a Church of England school, but we also welcome students from all denominations or none at all.
We have an amazing academic reputation and a genuine willingness to use the best teaching methods.
Our kids can take part in debate, school council, and the Duke of Edinburgh award.
In our community, kindness, tolerance, hard work, and respect for one another are principles that underpin everything we do.
I'm hoping that those of you here with kids already get this. I invite those of you who are new to the school to visit and get a feel for our ethos.
Therefore, we encourage you to visit and learn more about the Schola Buriensis.
