I'm glad you came to the College's website, and now that you're here, I'd like to take a moment to share with you some of the ways in which we at HCFE think. Our goal is to be one of the top institutions in the Tees Valley, East Durham, and beyond for the delivery of top-notch professional and technical education. Our mission statement is straightforward: Excellence in Further and Higher Education. You may get a clear sense of WHAT we do and HOW we do it from the information on this page, but it's equally important to me to emphasise WHY we do what we do. In essence, we go about our business in order to make sure that every student who enrols in the College is prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that will be available to them after they graduate. Late in the 1980s and early in the 1990s, I changed my life by attending a FE college in the Midlands. This was all made possible by the education I received at a FE college. I attended university, being the first person in my family to do so, and eventually I trained to become a teacher. Therefore, we aim to make sure that the College helps to alter your life, whether you wish to continue on to university or into the world of business.
