Carew Academy is a special academy for pupils aged 7-18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including complex needs.

Due to the complex nature of pupils’ needs, we consider referrals to the school in the light of the needs of the whole school population. We do this to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of the whole school community.

All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) maintained by the London Borough of Sutton or other Local Authorities.

The school strives to develop the full potential of everyone within its community and is able to provide a broad and wide ranging curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of individual pupils. We are also able to offer pupils other opportunities through life-skills based lessons, residential visits, work experience and access to therapies, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Music and Drama Therapy.
