The Parlicks class' most recent field trip to Williamson Park was a huge success. After learning about numerous habitats and microhabitats this term and examining how many species of animals adapt to these environments, On Wednesday, April 27, Calder Class had the good fortune to travel to Wigan's Haigh Woodland Park. The boys had a terrific day in the fantastic play park, playing crazy golf, and exploring the nearby woodland area. Teams of boys were formed, and an adult supported each group. Since the Parlick class returned to school following Easter, they have been studying the primary characteristics of castles. Why and how castles were constructed in the manner that they were, as well as how certain aspects altered over time. Battlements, towers, moats, and drawbridges, as well as their functions, have all been thoroughly explained to us. [].
