As the Headteacher of Oldfield Park Junior School, it gives me great joy to write to you and welcome you to find out more about our school and community. Children aged 7 to 11 attend Oldfield Park Junior School, also known as OPJS, which is a community school (Key Stage 2). Follow the link on the side to learn more about the Palladian Academy Trust (PAT), which the school is happy to be a part of together with 9 other schools.
As shown in the timeline below, OPJS has faithfully and proudly served the neighbourhood since 1893. Initially known as South Twerton School, it has now changed its name to Oldfield Park Junior School. The English Heritage has recognised our recognisable and iconic structures as a Building of Special Architectural or Historic Interest.
Our school has served many generations of families throughout the years, fostering a warm and enduring culture and a sense of belonging to a thriving, loving, and accepting family and community. The mission statement of the OPJS family is shared by all members.
Through our engaging curriculum, which has thrilling Spectacular Starts and Fantastic Finishes, we study together. We look out for one other, accept responsibility for ourselves and one another, and help one another out whenever we can.
