From the Worlingham Pre-School
Worlingham Pre-School is currently housed behind Worlingham Primary School, which was once Worlingham Middle School, in Garden Lane, Worlingham.
In August 2011, as part of Suffolk County Council's reorganisation plans (phase 2) to close the middle schools, the pre-school was transferred to its current site. The council encouraged the pre-school to relocate to the middle school (now the primary school) since the pre-school mobile (in the playground of the old primary school) needed to make room for the incoming year 5 students using the primary school facility.
The committee is in charge of the preschool, which is run on a volunteer basis. It often consists of elected parents or caregivers who run for office for one or two years. (Please check the section above on how to participate) Overall, we received a GOOD rating from Ofsted, and several of our strengths were noted (please see Ofsteds website for full report).
For kids between the ages of two and three months and school age, our pre-school provides instruction and care in a specially designed pre-school portion of the main school.
We can provide paid early years spots for 15 hours and the extended 30 hours per week (if qualified), as well as unfunded spots for individuals who are not yet qualified or who want to pay for additional sessions.
