A committee of pre-school parents and caregivers oversees Woodley Pre-school, a registered charity.
In order to give other local families and their kids social chances, a local mother founded it in the late 1960s. As Woodley "Playgroup," it convened in the previous village hall, but as time went by, the demand for spaces caused it to overflow its space. Later, further meetings were held in the neighborhood's former Scout hut until 2004, when the two organisations merged and moved to their current location on the grounds of the Cupernham Schools. Peppa Pig attended the opening of the specially constructed pre-school environment in April 2013.
