From the Woodborough Village Pre-School
Since the founding of Woodborough Village Pre-school in 1974, we have aided in the growth and pleasure of several generations of kids.
Our wonderful Pre-school is a special place because we are a community organisation with charity status run by a volunteer Committee made up primarily of parents or other caregivers of the children who attend.
We have an OUTSTANDING Ofsted rating, are members of the Early Years Alliance, and are a registered charity. To read our Ofsted reports, click here.
We adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and think that learning happens best when it is exploratory, creative, enjoyable, and playful.
Our magnificent open area is constantly bustling with fascinating indoor and outdoor events.
The kids are free to roam between each activity, discovering, creating, and having a lot of fun while being supported and encouraged by their key person.
Our preschool is dedicated to providing our kids with the greatest opportunity possible.
On Tapestry, an online learning journal for Early Years settings, your child's key person will log all of your child's academic progress.
This system will send you regular updates outlining the mischief your child has been up to and explaining how it relates to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
In order to encourage learning from home to pre-school and vice versa, your child's key person will be there as well, working closely and collaboratively with you.
The lovely Ploughmans Woods, a favourite location for Forest School expeditions, is right adjacent to our pre-school.
The kids get the chance to learn more about the great outdoors during these sessions, whether it's by taking in the sounds of nature, hunting for little animals beneath logs, learning to build a shelter, or exploring for frogs beside the pond.
