From the Witley CofE Infant School Before and After School Club
The Surrey village of Witley, close to Godalming, is home to the Witley C of E Infant School.
As the sole school in the entire parish, it was founded in 1836.
Officially, the institution is referred to as a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School.
The Headteacher and the Governors are in charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school.
The local community owns our school hall, which we have daily exclusive use of during the academic year.
Around the school, there are several grassy and hard play grounds.
In addition, we have a space outside where we can do environmental and scientific research.
The Godalming Learning Partnership (GLP), of which Witley C of E Infant School is a part, collaborates to guarantee that all students in our community receive instruction of the greatest calibre while respecting the autonomy and individuality of every school.
The working partnerships between the schools in the Godalming area have improved and borne fruit over time.
In order to foster learning in our community, we have shared expertise, training opportunities, kid-friendly activities, and many more chances.
We have been considering formalising a new way of working to become the GLP because of this.
This won't alter the distinctive character or spirit of each school, but it will bring us closer together so that we can assist one another and advance learning and education for our communities.
Most of our kids will continue their education at The Chandler C of E Aided Junior School after Year Two.
Witley Infants and The Chandler have close ties, and our kids receive excellent transitional help.
