After a six-month makeover, The White House Nursery Alfreton opened its doors in September 2017. The property, which was formerly known as The Ashwood Inn bar, underwent significant renovations to become the wonderful space we have today.
Children in the baby unit benefit from a sizable open space with a hard floor area for imaginative play and meal times as well as a carpeted play area. The unit has a kitchenette with a refrigerator and bottle warming equipment, so staff has everything they need to look after the kids all day. Additionally, they have access to a soft astroturf roof garden where they may play outdoors right from their apartment.
The toddler unit contains a hard floor space, a carpeted section, and a kitchenette of its own. In this location, kids also have access to a kids' bathroom, which promotes independence and self-care abilities. The big, open-plan yard is accessible to the kids from this location via patio doors.
The preschool area has a sizable, open-concept space that runs the length of the structure across the back. Children have plenty of room to experiment with various play and activity styles and to move around as they please. Due to the two patio doors that connect the unit to the garden, play can take place both inside and outside as desired.
The outside area includes a grassy area with a flat surface, a cycle path for riding, an allotment, a mud kitchen, an outdoor school, and a nature trail. We like to provide the kids as many opportunities to explore natural resources and many aspects of nature as we can by utilising this space because there are many advantages to outdoor play for kids.
