At Wellingtons for Langley Hall we offer a curriculum that excites and motivates children to never stop learning.
These inform you of your childs next steps of learning and ensure that we meet every childs needs.
We make it a priority to provide engaging environments that are based on your childs interests.
We establish a Baseline Assessment (starting point) for your child and then work towards new targets (next steps in learning) over time.
We allow children to explore, take risks and make mistakes in a familiar, safe and stimulating place to learn.
We may suggest opportunities for you to support play at home, that could help your child meet their next steps on their learning journey.
We will provide a place where your children will have fun and be happy.
In Preschool phonic sounds are introduced more formally to children every week in an engaging and meaningful way to prepare them for school.
All seven areas of learning are developed in our large outdoor garden and all children are given safe places to take risks in an unpredictable environment to ensure that they develop self-awareness, thinking skills and learn to confidently make choices for themselves.
Your child will have opportunities to share their learning with you through Tapestry.
As children begin to show an interest, we would urge all parents and carers to share experiences captured online as a discussion point with your child.
We have a Facebook Parent Zone Platform where childrens learning and successes are celebrated.
Children develop skills across all areas of the curriculum including literacy, mathematics and physical development using these in different ways.
Children have developed a wider sense of the world around them and can draw on these experiences during interactions with others and link this to new learning.
Children develop their characteristics of learning and are able to apply their knowledge to a range of situations making links and explaining their ideas and understanding.
Children are confident to take risks and discuss their successes and failures with adults drawing on their experiences to improve or adjust what they are doing.
From their own starting points, children will make excellent progress spiritually, morally, academically and emotionally, developing a sense of themselves so that they are well prepared for Key Stage 1.
