From the Tots Teachers Preschool 2
Since 1988, I have been an Early Years and Primary School teacher. After becoming weary of the data-driven system, I and another teacher friend decided to create a preschool.
Our goal was to offer childcare and education of the highest calibre at the most affordable price!
In November 2018, we established a company, registered with Ofsted, and located a location to operate from.
Unfortunately, this was not to be, and we were the victims of a landlord who unexpectedly raised our rent by 50%, leaving us scrambling to find a new location for the families we were booking, which is how we came upon The Scout Hut in Mill Lane Sevenoaks. And what a find!
But soon we discovered that we had almost 30 kids registered, and our crew grew.
A scout leader from Tonbridge approached me while I was developing the Westerham Team and working as a preschool teacher in Sevenoaks. He said that the playgroup they had been renting space from for 52 years was closing, and he asked if I would like to take a look in the hopes of starting a new preschool.
This was transformed into Tots Teachers Preschool 3 in Tonbridge's Weir View Hut.
The Tonbridge Team went on the hunt.
