From the Tithe Barn Preschool
The Tithe Barn Preschool has been operating in Bishops Cleeve for more than 50 years. It was first run at the famous Tithe Barn by Mrs. Jean Mason from 1972 to 1992, and then by Mrs. Lenora Smith from 1992 to 2016. In September 2016, Samantha Fisher and Cathy Lea, two qualified primary school teachers, acquired ownership.
Children between the ages of 2 and 4 are accepted at The Tithe Barn Preschool. Many of the neighbourhood primary schools, including Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy, Grangefield, Woodmancote, Gotherington, and Treddington, accept students from the preschool.
During the academic year, we are open from 9 am to 3 pm. Children pack their own lunches.
For children aged 2, 3, and 4, we accept the government's 15- and 30-hour funding programmes. The term following your child turns three, they become eligible for the Universal 15 Hours Funding, and parents can check on the Childcare Choices website whether they are also eligible for the 30 Hours Funding.
For non-funded children, we charge $4.95 per hour, and for funded children, we charge $4.00 per day (Please see Parents T&Cs Policy for more information). Places for 2-year-olds cost 5.50 per hour.
