Our goal is for every child to grow in a secure, enjoyable, friendly, and curiously stimulating atmosphere that seems like home away from home, giving the kids a sense of trust and security.
We recognise that you serve as the child's primary caregivers and that you are crucial in giving us updates on your child's progress during their stay with us.
We achieve this by collaborating through our Key Person approach, in which our knowledgeable, caring, and nurturing staff develop a relationship with your child while learning about their likes, dislikes, family, and interests. We then make sure that the information we learn is incorporated into your child's future development planning with the aim to scaffold and enhance their learning.
We encourage all the children in our care to try new things, to question their knowledge and skills, and more importantly to feel proud of their attempts and accomplishments while also working on areas where they can grow because we recognise that every child is unique and develops and learns at different rates.
We recognise the amount of knowledge kids pick up from using the outdoors; they discover and explore the world around them, which opens up more chances for active play that fosters physical and mental health, problem-solving, and the ability for kids to weigh their own risks in a secure setting.
Our method is influenced by the Hygge approach, which emphasises living in the moment and finding joy in ordinary tasks and activities, as well as the Reggio Strategy, a student-centered and self-guided approach that encourages children to be experimental and self-directed in their learning.
