We use a slightly different procedure here at The Old School House Nursery.
We really encourage you to come and see our nursery and surroundings if you haven't previously done so.
Our preschool is located in the historic 1834 village primary school in Sancton, a tranquil wolds village.
We offer excellent outdoor spaces, plenty of light, and appealing inside spaces to explore and play.
We believe that children's learning and development are strongly impacted by the outdoors, and we offer the most amazing outdoor settings for them to discover and explore.
Every day, we create an exciting environment in the nursery by providing the kids with a tonne of unrestricted, repurposed, and natural resources to explore. The kids then contribute their own imaginations and creativity to make their days full of knowledge and memories.
Therefore, get in touch with us right away for further details. We can't wait to show you around.
Our kids spend just as much time outside as they do inside because we have a special classroom for outdoor explorers where all of the learning is done in the natural world.
On our doorstep are a Gruffalo Den, an Edible Garden, a Gardening Club, and all the natural resources you'll need for finding and exploring.
We conduct our forest courses at our very own expansive Nursery Garden and a woodland site in Sancton.
Our kids may engage in outdoor play, nature hikes, den and shelter building, hunting for small animals, making mud sculptures, along with many other bushcraft activities, thanks to the areas we have access to.
All year long, children can participate in woodland sessions to experience the changing seasons.
We pay close attention to how your child learns.
Each child has a different learning style, just like everyone else.
It is our responsibility to make sure that the best learning experiences are as unique as the kids in our care.
By using the Reggio Emilia method, we establish strong bonds with both your kid and you, the parents.
Since the community is so essential to us on a daily basis, we are passionate about spreading the word about the importance of supporting small and local companies.
We run an Open Day once a year for the local community to come into the nursery and take a look at the environment, talk about the school's history and the part it played in Sancton life and of course have a cuppa!.
At nursery were very passionate about supporting our local community, we involved the local community in so many ways, whether it be Singing to Sancton at Christmas or getting involved in Community based projects.
The kids gain knowledge about the community's strength and what it means to us as a daycare centre.
Gosia, the chef in our nursery, is enthusiastic about food and promotes a balanced diet.
