The Forest Preschool Copythorne and The Forest Preschool and Nursery Hinton (Christchurch), the latter of which now accepts children as young as 12 months old and offers wraparound care options, are operated by The Outdoor Learning Company. These facilities offer the south of Hampshire and Dorset an excellent alternative early years child care option.
Our kids learn through the Forest School method, spending time all year long in enchanted woodland settings where they develop their physical prowess, self-esteem, confidence, self-regulation, social skills, and many other qualities necessary for their next stages in life.
We host a number of holiday club sessions that are inspired by Forest School.
Days for our outdoor adventurers begin in Hinton (Christchurch).
Children in primary school are the target audience for these workshops.
If you book onto one or more of our days, your child will have the chance to undertake some of the activities renowned with Forest School such as pond dipping, Den Building, bug hunting, environmental art and much more.
All of our programmes and services are built on the Forest School philosophy, giving kids, teens, and adults the chance to grow and learn through interaction with nature and the outdoors.
We currently run outdoor Pre-Schools and Holiday Clubs from a number of locations across Hampshire.
