Initial Stop Trimley St. Mary Primary School's premises contain a pre-school. The Pre-School first opened its doors in a double decker bus in 1982 and moved into its current location in 1986. The facility offers a big underground canopy space and its own safe fenced garden, which gives the kids access to outdoor play-based learning opportunities no matter the weather. The structure has restrooms and access for those in wheelchairs. We have a limit of 25 kids per session and are open from Monday through Friday from 8.45 am to 11.45 am and 12.20 pm to 3.20 pm during the academic year. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshments and a nutritious snack are offered. All of our employees are very capable, devoted, and knowledgeable in their fields. First aid and protection training is provided to all personnel on a regular basis. We have a qualified SENCo who is certified in speech and language by Elkan. We provide a kind, inviting environment to everyone and assist both parents and kids in adjusting to what is often their first move into a new environment. Major decisions are made by people who utilise the group because the Pre-School is run by a committee elected by and from the parent/carers. The general health of the preschool is being monitored by a separate board of trustees. Regardless of socioeconomic condition, religion, or culture, we accept children from all backgrounds. Through a rota where parents/carers are welcome to engage in entire sessions with their children, for example, we welcome and encourage parent/carer involvement in a variety of ways. When the need arises, we conduct fundraisers, and parents take a very active role in this. The yearly village carnival is organised by a committee of parents who plan and pool their ideas. First Stop enters a float in this event.
