Sunderland Womens Centre supports women from underrepresented or disadvantaged groups and works to identify and remove learning barriers in order to promote equality of opportunity. We also work to foster a good attitude toward lifelong learning and to take a holistic approach to the general well-being of all women and children.
By removing barriers to participation in educational opportunities, SWC hopes to foster a feeling of purpose and accomplishment, enhance possibilities for employment and quality of life, and motivate learners who may have felt excluded. In order to encourage a good attitude toward lifelong learning, we provide direction, support, confidence building, and awareness raising.
Offer short-term, part-time courses in a variety of subject areas during hours that are convenient for families.
Considering all/individual women's general well-being holistically.
By providing direction, encouragement, boosting confidence, and awareness-raising, you may encourage a good attitude toward lifelong learning.
Identify and eliminate obstacles to encourage women who have experienced exclusion to take part in programmes and activities.

The Sunderland Womens Centre (SWC) is a nonprofit organisation with a main office in the heart of Sunderland.
Since its founding in 1984, the organisation has been a registered charity since 1996, and it was incorporated in 2004.
