Prior to registering we encourage you to visit Street Farm Day Nursery with your child to meet the staff and look at our facilities.
To begin building trusting relationships prior to starting nursery, Street Farm are happy to offer home visits by your childs key person alongside a senior member of staff.
If you would like to request a home visit please arrange this with a member of the management team.
Once you have registered your child with Street Farm Day Nursery you will be emailed a Welcome Pack which includes information on our policies and procedures, healthy eating and wellbeing sheet and information on what you will need to provide.
At Street Farm Day Nursery, we use an online programme called Tapestry, an innovative, interactive Learning Journey.
At Street Farm, all children and families are allocated a key person.
In your childs Key persons absence their buddy will take over their role by supporting you and your child.
When you have registered with the nursery we will set up your Tapestry account and forward you a link to complete the All about me information.
We ask you to fill in as much information as possible, as this allows your childs key person to get to know your child and your family as they start at the nursery.
If you would like any assistance, please speak to a member of management and they will arrange for your key person to go through it with you.
Between the age of 2 and 3 we will review your childs progress and provide parents/carers a written summary highlighting achievements and areas in which extra support might be needed.
Parents can share this progress check with health visitors (who can use it as part of the health and development review).
Each individual child is given the opportunity of learning through high quality play that is tailored specifically to them.
Your childs key person will plan activities and experiences that are challenging but achievable to your child.
Observations are then recorded in your childs learning journey.
