From the Stone & Fairford Leys Pre school
started in late 1969 with roughly 10 kids under the name Stone & District Playgroup.
On Fairford Leys, we inaugurated our second preschool in June 2003.
We decided to lease our own child care facility in Stone in March 2014, which was our most exciting and significant commitment to date.
This required us to relocate from Stone Village Hall to our new location, Maple House, 74 Oxford Road, in June 2014, giving our pre-school kids access to a far more child-friendly learning environment.
Additionally, it gave us the chance to grow our company and include a breakfast/after-school club and a holiday club.
In September 2014, we launched our breakfast and after-school programme for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade.
The most recent were Stone September 2016, for which we earned a generally favourable Fairford Leys evaluation. On request, copies of the November 2015 report for which the group obtained a general "Good Copies of Stones" rating.
We had to regrettably decide in March 2016 to close our Fairford Leys setting at the end of the summer term (July 2016).
The inauguration of a preschool at St. Mary's School on Fairford Leys, which was followed by the resignation of five trained employees, including the manager and deputy supervisor, compelled us to make this choice.
