In order to assess how effectively a school is promoting these principles, it has since incorporated this into the school inspection process.
At St. Mary's, we are adamant that our Christian ethos closely resembles the ideals that the British government promotes.
These values and instructions were provided by the Department of Education on November 27, 2014, and they expand on the Prevent Strategy 2011's efforts.
We realise at St. Mary's that these British ideals are not exclusively British.
Links are established between our PSHE curriculum and particular themes, such Anti-Bullying Week.
Our children are taught RE for 2 hours per week, our new curriculum has a strong focus on children relating examples of Christs teaching to their life.
Our elected class council members serving on the school council is an excellent example of democracy in action.
There are pupil surveys which are carried out through the school council.
Our school Governors have seen this in action.
At the start of every year the children write their mission statements and are at liberty to sign up to their class values.
