Every Methodist community in the nation is a member of the larger Methodism family. We take great pride in the fact that our founders, John and Charles Wesley, were born in Epworth, Lincolnshire, and that it was through their ministries that a 60 million-member global Church was established. Much of the historic Lincolnshire region, from Scunthorpe and Grimsby in the north to Holbeach and Boston in the south, is covered by the District. 118 churches are distributed throughout ten circuits in the District. The churches are led by 27 ordained preachers, some paid personnel, administrators, and a sizable number of volunteers. We are particularly proud of our district local church pastor programme and our chaplaincies in primary care and agriculture.
