Future growth of a child depends heavily on the first five years of life.
All our staff are committed to ensuring that the children within our care enjoy a safe, stimulating and challenging environment and for us that includes an opportunity for them to enjoy the love of God through song, prayer and Bible stories in simple appropriate form.
All our children are linked individually with a named 'Key Worker'.
This key worker is your child's main person in nursery.
Should your child's keyworker ever be absent from work.
Your child's keyworker will spend quality time with your child , getting to know them first hand, and building a professional/caring teacher-child relationship with them.
These groups make it possible for us to develop each child's language and communication skills.
Online learning Journals: We use an online learning journal system and this software is called Tapestry.
This secure platform allows parents to be actively involved in children's learning.
We liaise with local schools, inviting reception staff to come to our nursery and spend some time with the children who will be going into their class the following term.
We complete the Northamptonshire County Council County Transition Document at the end of the summer term.
Following discussion with our parents, these documents are forwarded onto the next school or setting that the child will be attending.
This provides continuity of information to their next class teacher.
Samuels is now situated within the new Broadmead Community Church and has purpose built rooms, outside area and toilets all within a secure area of the wider building.
At the start of each session, equipment in the nursery areas offer our children fresh ideas and opportunities to further explore their interests and discover the various activities planned for that day.
These change on a regular basis thus providing extra stimulation which encourages our children to engage and experiment.
In our creative area children can choose to explore a wide variety of activities with , water, dough, clay, cutting, gluing, painting, printing, access to junk modelling items, collage etc.
Our book corner/quiet area provides a light space for children to develop their early reading and literacy skills as well as building on their communication and language skills.
Our outside area enables children to free flow from the play room to discover a wide variety of play activities in a safe, covered area.
This is available throughout the year.
Children can build with construction equipment, ride trikes, and wooden vehicles and use a variety of other physical play equipment.
In our garden area, children have opportunities to build on their knowledge and understanding of the the world through searching for bugs and discovering the world of planting and harvesting vegetables and flowers.
