From the Rose Hill Nursery
Valerie and Ron Cossey established The Meadows Nursery Schools in 1988.
Val developed a passion for childcare and child development while working as a childcare development officer for a London Borough prior to launching her first school.
Since then, the schools have grown from housing just a few students on a part-time basis in a common hall to six facilities caring for more than 500 kids each week. The Meadows approach to childcare and education has been established as a result of Val's involvement with and study of numerous cutting-edge childcare approaches.
The Meadows approach was created around the Early Years Framework and incorporates ideas from pioneering educators like Friederich Froebel, Maria Montessori, and Vygotsky to give kids a home away from home that is enjoyable and gratifying.
Children who engage in a variety of activities without concern for failure and who feel comfortable taking risks.
