Established in 1994 and based in the charming town of Mattishall, Rockinghorse offers OFSTED-registered childcare for infants and preschoolers between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. For school-age children older than 4 years old, we also offer Stallions, our breakfast, after-school, and holiday club.
Rockinghorse is housed in a fully functional barn conversion with plenty of space for off-road parking in front of the building. A sizable paved and grassy space with a variety of trees and hedges is located at the back of the barn. This area is securely gated and abuts open fields and woods; it is encircled by natural vegetation. Children may learn and grow through play and experiences in a supportive atmosphere thanks to the serene, rural location and vast outdoor space.
As parents and caregivers are ready to drop off their kids at nursery, Rockinghorse is able to offer an entrance/cloakroom space within the building that is large enough to accommodate the use of strollers and buggies. A dedicated office, handicapped restroom/shower, infant room, cot room, children's restroom, nursery room with quiet area/rest room, kitchen for preparing meals and snacks, storage, and IT/games room are all included.
We are authorised to care for up to 28 kids at once. In order to supply high-quality care to all children and families that visit, Rockinghorse Daycare is able to offer a cosy, homey environment.
