From the Ravenscourt Park Montessori
From the time a kid turns two years old until they enter the first grade of a primary school, they attend one of our two nursery schools. Throughout the fall, spring, and summer terms, kids come for a morning or an afternoon session, with older kids being able to remain all day.
In September 2018, Rocks Lane Montessori opened its doors in a stunning classroom near to the main pavilion of Rocks Lane Multi-Sports Centre Chiswick. The classroom looks out onto our own garden, and in 2019 we developed a nature area where we practise forest schooling, cultivate vegetables, play in the mud, and more. We incorporate extracurricular activities like science, technology, Mandarin, yoga, mindfulness, arts & crafts, woodworking, and music into our lessons.
In January 2021, Ravenscourt Park Montessori will begin operations. We are really fortunate to be in the park itself, in a stunning classroom that is surrounded by trees and environment through the park entrance on Ravenscourt Road. We combine a Montessori education with outdoor learning and Forest School, much like our Chiswick school.
Our instruction adheres fervently to the Montessori philosophy, which is founded on each child's inherent potential and amazing spirit. Our goal is to foster a kid's independence, confidence, and worldly curiosity while preparing each child for the transition to school. Children naturally gravitate toward the materials in our classroom, which is constantly changing and has a core curriculum that supports every stage of a child's development.
Our teachers are our most valuable resource, in addition to the environment and the tools made available. The majority of our instructors have Montessori training, and they are incredibly experienced and joyful to be able to make such a significant difference in the lives of the kids who are studying here.
