The statutory standards for early childhood providers are spelled out in detail by the Department for Education (DfE). The 2017 Early Years Foundation Stage already implicitly incorporates the core British principles of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, respect for one another, and tolerance for people of different religions and views.
Respecting the law requires knowing the regulations. in line with the emphasis on controlling behaviour and emotions that is mentioned in Personal, Social, and Emotional Development. Children will learn to discriminate between right and wrong and understand their own behaviour and that of others, as well as the effects of their actions.
Individual liberty is universal freedom. in line with the emphasis on People & Communities, as well as Self-confidence & Self-Awareness, as mentioned in Personal Social and Emotional Development and Understanding the World. Children should grow to have a positive self-image. By letting kids take chances on an obstacle course, letting them mix colours, letting them communicate about their experiences and learning, and other activities, we'll provide kids the chance to grow in self-awareness, self-esteem, and confidence in their own skills.
Treat others with respect and tolerance, just as you would like to be treated. According to the citation in Personal Social and Emotional Development and Understanding the World, the emphasis on People & Communities, Managing Feelings & Behaviour, and Making Relationships. In Rainbow, diversity and tolerance are promoted, and kids are encouraged to interact with people from all backgrounds and faiths.
In order to encourage diversity and combat stereotypes, Rainbow will, among other things, share stories that reflect and celebrate the variety of children's lives and offer tools and activities that dispel gender, cultural, and racial prejudices.
