In our nursery, we think that children should have an excellent start in life and that every day should be joyful.
Beginning daycare is frequently an emotional time for families, and we believe in settling a kid in at a family's own speed because we want every child to feel secure and happy.
All operational, personnel, and financial decisions are made by a committee of parents who oversee this daycare centre.
The EYFS, which is the legislative framework that governs the work we conduct, is the standard by which every nursery in England operates.
The EYFS instructs us on how to safeguard children and maintain their health and safety.
Every nursery is required by the EYFS to make certain that each child has a Key Person assigned to them before their child begins.
They are a staff member with whom a child's family will make initial contact.
A Key Person will settle a child into nursery, comfort them when they cry, laugh when they do something amusing, and be completely aware of what that person does each day.
At Puffin, we use a buddy system so that children still have someone special to look after them even when their primary Key Person is away.
Being in a small location has its advantages, one of which is that we can have many experiences!
