We at preschool@stmarks provide a safe and happy environment for all the children in our care.
Every child is encouraged and supported in developing a positive sense of themselves and belonging; forming relationships built on trust and understanding and are able to make a positive contribution.
We do this by providing trained and sensitive Early Years Workers, who will work in partnership with parents and carers to enhance and enrich the Childs learning experience.
Children with any special educational or individual needs will be welcomed into our inclusive practice where we aim to provide a stimulating environment for all.
We provide pre-school care for children aged 2-4 years, we offer our staff with a broad and rich range of childcare experiences and training.
The qualifications the senior and supervisory staff hold include, NNEB Diploma, BTEC National diploma and NVQ 3 Early Years practitioners and NVQ Level 4 in Early Years Management
the staff who hold Level 2 NVQ in Early Years are our pre-school assistants/Early Years workers.
All staff qualification levels are compliant with regulations.
we offer morning sessions Tuesday to Friday for 2-5 year olds, we accept children who are eligible for 2 year old funding and paid sessions.
We feel this is a beneficial activity not only our children, but also the elderly residents as not all of our children have the opportunity to meet the older generation and engage with them, due to not having grandparents and the residents do miss the younger generation, as they don't always get visitors.
This is a new scheme being backed by Alistair Bryce-Clegg, a holistic education specialist.
