From the Potten End Pre-School
The Pre-School was established in the 1970s when Potten End residents realised how important it was to provide a friendly and safe place for young children to play. We are lucky to have our own building, which was constructed for us with funding from grants and assistance from the local community and pre-school parents. Although the kids spend a lot of time together, the Pre-School enrols a wide range of kids from 2 years old to almost 5 years old. The older kids go to the Upper Pre-School, and they have a separate uniform. They have a staff member who is solely focused on their education, and we have a separate room where the UPS can encounter a slightly different environment, spend time engaging in focused activities in small groups, and concentrate on developing school-ready skills like dressing appropriately, listening, and following directions.
The registered charity Potten End Pre-School Association is being run as a Charitable Incorporated Organization. Parents and residents of the area make up the Management Committee, which runs the school on a volunteer basis. Click here to learn more about the Committee.
On August 1, 2016, the Pre-charitable School's operating vehicle was changed to a Charitable Incorporated Organization (CIO), and as a result, we were assigned a new Ofsted Unique Reference Number (URN), which is EY500714.
