Our thriving Sixth Form is a truly comprehensive institution, enabling us to uphold high academic standards for all students while also offering a wide range of extracurricular opportunities and a strong and caring pastoral system. We are also small enough to ensure that each student is known by name.
The strong academic standards can be shown in the grades (which places the school as a high achieving comprehensive).
Achieving such scores is especially important considering that Surrey's schools and colleges have some of the lowest entry criteria for A-level courses.
We have students who enter the sixth form with the bare minimum requirements and earn two grade Es as a passport to higher education, those who earn several A grades to secure spots on courses at universities with extremely high entry requirements, and those who use the one-year Cambridge Technicals in Business Level 3 course to develop their interpersonal and professional skills as the first step on a career training path.
Numerous chances are available in the local sixth form, from the Extended Project Qualification to taking part in study and exchange trips to China, Romania, and Uganda.
Whether completing the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme or assisting younger students with reading issues through the "Toe-by-Toe" reading programme, there are various ways to build personal talents.
Our own pupils benefit much from continuity as they go from the Upper School to the Sixth Form since they may then experience the distinct chemistry in Sixth Form sessions with familiar instructors.
