Period Five An all-volunteer management team oversees Pre-School.
The management committee, whose members are chosen by the parents of the children who attend the pre-school, is legally responsible for the pre-school while the pre-school manager and staff handle its day-to-day operations.
The elections happen each year in October during our annual general meeting.
All parents of children who attend the Pre-School are welcome to attend our annual general meeting.
The committee and the pre-school manager divide up the majority of the management-related work.
The committee offers support for the Pre-many school's fundraising activities, including birthday parties and performances for kids.
The money raised by the committee allows us to keep buying new toys and tools for the preschool, which enhances the learning opportunities for the kids at Phase Five.
It's a terrific idea to join the committee to get to know other parents, but you shouldn't feel pressured to become an officer because being a general committee member is just as important.
