The greatest approach to introduce young children (ages 2-4) to tennis is through Optima Tiny Tennis courses.
I provide basic technique instruction, but the actual focus is on enjoyable games and routines that promote coordination, balance, and agility.
Tennis instruction at this young age offers the foundation for learning fundamental strategies and technique that can be applied in Mini Tennis, the kid-friendly adaptation of the genuine game for ages 5 to 10 years.
More tennis abilities are emphasised in little tennis.
When the kids are strong enough, they start learning how to play points in order to be prepared for any tournaments they might choose to participate in.
At this stage, I start teaching more complex strokes and strategies since the game is starting to resemble adult tennis.
