From the Once Upon A Time
The Orton Longueville Playgroup was founded in 1969 to serve children from the neighbourhood. Over the years, we have expanded and now offer pre-school instruction to children ages 2 and a half to four. In September 2013, we moved into our new building, and since then, we've worked to enhance the environment.
The day-to-day management of the Playgroup is handled by a committee made up of parents and employees.
We are a part of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and a Registered Charity. Additionally, we are OFSTED-registered and regularly inspected; at our most recent two inspections, in May 2011 and May 2016, we received "excellent" ratings across the board (click on date to read the report).
The Playgroup was also given the Peterborough CSP Quality Framework Award and the National Quality Assurance in The Effective Early Learning Program in July 2008. We were given the EQUIP award by Early Years in Peterborough in April 2012.
